1. It would depend on your state's motor vehicle laws. It may never have occurred to them.

Laws prohibiting things don't get passed until there's a problem (i.e., it's too late for somebody).

his knees on a split rail fence at the edge of the Yellowstone Canyon. His parents were there but seemed to think that was a safe thing for their child to do. Meantime, I had five of mine holding hands with my husband at one end and me at the other and made all of them stand back about a foot from the fence.

They have the entire family on one little moped. They have no choice. But, yes, around here I'm sure that's not legal.

But you're not required to take on all the unsafe practices you see. Give yourself permission to let it go.
