1. A friend of mine mentioned that ads for porn are always popping up when he searches.

I suggested either less searching for porn, or to clean his browser cache regularly.

I'll often see things my wife looks at/shops for popping up in my banner ads on google and Facebook. It makes gift shopping tricky.

5. That has happened before. Received quite a few ads for Farmhouse sinks.

He is working on updating the laundry room and we wanted a sink large enough to bathe the dogs.

But, he has no reason to look for Vietnam Vet caps.

8. Change your wifi password and make sure you are not broadcasting your ssid

If you have comcast you can make sure that you are not sharing or broadcasting the generic xfinity share wifi. Comcast broadcasts from your modem a generic xfinity wifi signal so that other paying customers can use it. I'm on my phone so I don't recall how you ensure you are not broadcasting it.

9. I think I had to check off the SSID box when I reset the router.

When I unchecked it, everything went haywire. I basically had an open router until I rectified it and reset it with sSID. If it's not too much trouble, can you get back to me when you have time to refresh your memory on how to do it.

I'd love to help but others might be faster. If you have comcast I can give you the "special" phone number that goes through to real live people (as long as you do t say where you got it).

I do hopefully get to chase people if/ when they're active. It can be fun but summers are brutal and it's tough on vehicles. I've been idling pretty much all day.

10. I've Been Wondering If

the computer camera is being used (even though I keep it covered up). Lately I've had a lot of ads for makeup tips for older women. I'm an older woman who doesn't use makeup because it irritates my skin and eyes. I never google it.

Almost as strange: I bought a new stove about two months ago. Now I get ads for stoves. How many do they think I will buy? There aren't ads for other appliances, just stoves.
