Why would the military go along with such a fake operation?

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by mcar (a host of the The DU Lounge forum).

The missiles did not hit the runway, Russia was informed ahead of time, and the Syrians knew it was happening.
WTF? This makes the US looks so stupid.

You know something that actually digs for facts and informs the public.

Unfortunately such a thing does not exist. If it did we might call it something like journalism - yes I like that name. We might even have schools that teach it.

Try reading The Guardian, the BBC, al-Jazeera (English), Le Monde, etc.

Stay away from most media that's based in the United States, especially if it's on TV and most assuredly if it's on the internet.

Enjoy your weekend, exboyfil.

1.They have no choice. Who knows what advice they gave to the Imbecile-in-Chief ? I am curious as to what options they presented to him.
2.Practice ?

The cynical theorist in me believes Trump had Putin's blessing. "See , I'm not Putin's puppet ". Whether or not Putin was involved, I do believe this was part of Trump's calculation - a poor attempt to exonerate himself of the collusion charges.
