(102,236 posts)who have never heard of even the Beatles (!), much less Pink Floyd, the Who, or any of the tons of mega bands from earlier decades...
Not sure what they listen to (and yes, I know that that comment alone makes me sound like my grandparents...) but what is different is that I knew the music of my parents, my grandparents and even the "greats" from many many decades before I was born. I knew the big bands of WWII era and even the great, long dead opera stars, like Enrico Caruso. I knew Stephen Foster (Civil war era)
I can't help but think they are missing a LOT....

(46 posts)I was lucky enough to be at Roger's concert a few years ago in London when David Gilmour made a guest appearance to play Comfortably Numb.
Love me some Pink Floyd-Saw them in '87,'94, Roger solo a few times as well as David solo.
