which was at Texas Stadium for the Division Bell tour in 1994. A cold front blew in that night so it was raining during the show, but I had a great time. I was fortunate that my friend invited me because his wife came down with measles so she couldn't attend.

I'm glad you were able to make good use of his extra ticket. That's what friends are for.

who have never heard of even the Beatles (!), much less Pink Floyd, the Who, or any of the tons of mega bands from earlier decades...

Not sure what they listen to (and yes, I know that that comment alone makes me sound like my grandparents...) but what is different is that I knew the music of my parents, my grandparents and even the "greats" from many many decades before I was born. I knew the big bands of WWII era and even the great, long dead opera stars, like Enrico Caruso. I knew Stephen Foster (Civil war era)

I can't help but think they are missing a LOT....

And Led Zeppelin and lots of other stuff. Everything from Mahler to Daft Punk.

But she's a music major so...

Probably one of the greatest works of rock music right there. (Would certainly be in my top 5!)

(You are now officially one of my favorite DUers! Thanks for posting this!

I was lucky enough to be at Roger's concert a few years ago in London when David Gilmour made a guest appearance to play Comfortably Numb.
Love me some Pink Floyd-Saw them in '87,'94, Roger solo a few times as well as David solo.
