the Frick Museum sounds perfect but maybe not enough time? (shoe exhibit, gift shop, restaurant )

If she had more time, I'd recommend Kennywood. They just recently opened the restored Noah's Ark (which, unlike one elsewhere, is a fun house in the old style).

(4,033 posts)there's really nothing near the airport.
I suggest the Heinz History Center in the Strip District & in the Strip on 18th Street is a Primanti Brothers Restaurant. They are the best sandwiches, you choose the meat (Steak, pastrami or whatever) it is served on Mancini's bread & topped with cole slaw and French fries.
The Frick Museum is great, but far from the airport & no easy access to the highway to get back, same with Kennywood.
With the Strip District, you just get on Liberty Avenue & it takes you right on the highway.

(55,019 posts)Will see what she decides tomorrow. I know she has had ice cream from some famous place, a cheesesteak, and at least one Yuengling.
The humorous bit is how much of desert rats we are. She is all paranoid of ticks and poison ivy. Give us scorpions and rattlesnakes any day!
