1. I don't remember the thread-count

but the best sheets I ever bought were made from bamboo fibers. The silkiest, smoothest fabric I've ever felt. However, it does wrinkle pretty badly, but that never bothered me. They get covered up by everything else when making the bed anyway.

Also, when they come out of the wash, they're rather stiff. It's a weird effect of the fiber. Still, I do find them the best for staying cool

(Looked up the ones I have and it says "300 count, feels like 1,000" and I would have to agree with that )

3. You're welcome :)

I noticed the package says "bamboo rayon" and read up on that. So, it is a form of rayon, but at least it's made from bamboo cellulose, which is easy to grow and grows much faster than the normal source of cellulose for rayon: trees.

6. High thread count sheets hold in heat, not great for summer.

Buying Guide: The Best Sheets To Keep You Cool This Summer

Snip>>>>

Donít Get Caught Up In The Thread Count Hype. While most people think that the higher the thread count, the more decadent the sheets are, this is not always the truth. Also, sheets with a very high thread count donít let air pass as freely, trapping heat underneath. We suggest choosing a set with a 300-400 thread count for the summer. Also, if possible, itís best to feel the fabric first-hand, as this is the best test to how they will feel against your skin all night long.
