my expression is, "Oh hell no! never getting on another watercraft!"

I went to the Coast Guard museum in Astoria, OR several years ago and learned about the Columbia Bar and all the wrecks. And growing up on the coast of NE, lots of tales of ship wrecks from several centuries. Yeah, maybe that's why I moved to the mountains far from the sea.

stay on shore. Been to Nantucket a bunch of times as a kid but now, even a skiff on a calm pond is too much for me, not from stomach upset but absolute fear. Somewhere along the line in the past fifteen, twenty years I just got scared of being out on water that's over my head.

ETA: My neighbor isn't around much and I tale care of his cabin, plants and watch his movie DVDs. Last year I watched "Life of Pi" and I couldn't sleep for a few nights, actually longer. It was an awesome story and I am amazed I made it all the way through the movie all by myself.
