It was pretty late at night and a lot of that country is very open, so you can see blinking signs from a long way off. We noticed a bright (but not very long) red one. Coudsl't tell what it said at first..and were both amused and a bit weirded out that when we got close enough, it turned out to be a "DIESEL" sign for a truck stop, and the second half of the sign was burned out.

So we had big ol' red letters going "DIE...DIE...DIE"
