The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsWell, I just laundered some money.
Took the clothes out of the washer to put in the drier and found a wad of bills in the bottom. $7.

(72,300 posts)I charge everything for my business on a credit card.
I seldom return anything.
Big ticket receipts are placed in the file cabinet as soon as possible.
However, I did wash my ex-husband's paycheck.

(29,414 posts)my girlfriend was visiting. We kept all receipts, though I left them in her care most of the time. Only when she knew we'd not be returning anything (when we did, it was clothing that didn't fit or she didn't like in some way) did we then toss/shred those receipts.
And some kept-receipts (like the JC Penney's ones) have coupons on them

Not as much noise as bullets do, though. At least we found out that clothes dryers do NOT get hot enough to set of the bullets. Whew!

(24,026 posts)...a forgotten/misplaced $5 or $10 bill doesn't make a smile break out on my face. I'm going to be 64 in a week, so maybe this won't happen until my next incarnation.
