Don McLean American Troubador on PBS

Oh, man. What a wonderful thing. I'm in a foul mood over lots of things about this country right now and this reminds me it's not all lost. Besides, the only time I recall anyone ever telling me a song reminded them of me it was this one:

back in the early 70's. He opened for Conway Twitty. Wow. Time does scoot by.

and thought it was wonderful. Mad respect for McLean for sticking to his principles and building a good life for himself.
