Birdman: what a complete waste of my time and my money.

I do not understand any of the 9 nominations were given for this, but most of all, screenplay?

Why would anyone want to go see something where all of the characters are empty, ugly,
riddled with nothing but self-doubt precisely because all they value is narcissism?

They paint a portrait of an ugly, unhappy, bleak and miserable existence for everyone.


Blech. Yuk.


It used to be Academy Award nominations meant there was something of value to see.
Not anymore. Now i think I'll turn and run from those movies. Same thing last year.

I love everyone I see because I'm a cheap date and I always seem to end up taking advantage of myself before I fall asleep .NOT FUNNY !!!!!!as ussual .

8. Actually our theatre was offering a special buy one ticket get one ticket free, but only to THIS

movie, and I've never seen them do that. And it was a Friday night. It's an older theatre scheduled for remodel;
the new theatre at the other side of town draws everyone now in this smallish town. The sale didn't help.
It was me, hubby, friend, and four or five others behind us. Sometimes we go on Tuesdays when tickets
are just 6.00, and twice we were the ONLY people in the theatre.

On edit: it was 7.25 for both of us tonight.
