Actually, I still do have some beers here and there, usually on the weekends. I just don't drink to the point that I'll be hurting the next day. A six pack is a good time for me and it doesn't bother me the next day as long as I don't have to get up too early.

3. And the fact a single glass of a hearty cabernet is enough to give me a little buzz...LOL

As an eternal "low carb" dieter, I'd gone nearly 8 months without drinking anything other than a rare Michelob ultra beer. Last nights' glass of wine was really nice, but amazingly "potent"...

Never saw anyone who got fat from the carbs in fruit and veggies.

Two glasses and I'm buzzed as well (or falling asleep). No tolerance.

To where you feel like absolute hell the next day. It's not even pleasant while it's happening.

Don't get me wrong, I like the buzz that happens with one or two. Three is probably my limit in a single evening. I have done worse, but absolutely hated the feeling. I hate being sick and I get enough bad headaches without drinking that I don't need them when I do. I've never been in a situation where I didn't remember where I was, though. That thought terrifies me so much that I never did it.

So I have a glass or two with dinner or spaced over the evening, but that's it.

Woke up New Year's feeling great as a result.

Of course it is amusing watching other people do dumb things at parties. But in college, where binge-drinking is the norm, I never drank at all. To this day, I still don't get it. I guess there's some competitive aspect to, who has the worst hangover or did the dumbest thing, but to me it was just stupid. And dangerous.

So New Year's, St. Patrick's Day are holidays that I have no use for.
