Dot Matrix printer plays Eye of the Tiger

I heard about this on the Skeptic's Guide to the Universe podcast this weekend. Remember dot-matrix printers? Remember the noise they made? Some clever person created a program that turned those sounds to music. Here it is playing Eye of the Tiger.

I'm impressed!

I bought 3 5 1/4" floppy drives for a dollar each the other day, assuming at least one of them would work well enough to get some data off of some old disks. Turns out they all work fine and 99% of my 30 year old floppies were still readable, even the single sided ones I had turned into double sided ones with a scissors! Amazing technology!

I remember in college my friend had a printer that was so slow, he told it to print, made sure it was working, and then we went to the mountains a couple of hours away to go rafting for the day. We came back and it was about to finish his paper. He was printing from an old Commodore

10 LPRINT CHR$(7)
20 GOTO 10

This rang the bell as fast as the CPU could cycle the loop.
