The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsToday, I got to see the Upper Antelope Canyon, which is the most beautiful place I have ever seen.
It is most definitely worth a trip. I had seen the pictures before, but had never figured out where they'd been taken, until a friend of mine, along with his girlfriend, went last year.
When he showed me his pictures, well............I decided then and there that this was a place I had to get to. So here we go...

(149,752 posts)You're not supposed to be looking at my socks! Good grief.
It's not a sock, anyway...it's my brace to keep my arch from falling! It works.
Glad you liked the pictures!

(50,983 posts)I have several health issues that prevent me from visiting the beautiful places in person. But I sure do appreciate you sharing it with us. I can walk okay, I just can't walk far.

(149,752 posts)It was pretty strenuous, but I really wanted to do this. SO GLAD I was able!
I so agree about the appreciation we get from viewing something so far removed from our ordinary lives.

(149,752 posts)I'd heard that it would be thrilling, and wow, was it ever!
Everywhere you look, or almost, are incredible views. The guides tell stories about how to see, and how to photograph for the best results...
It was quite strenuous for me, but I doubt you'd have much difficulty walking in what is very much like soft beach sand.
