to see if it has a distinct name- they are a variation of Tabby. A gene mutation causes the usual "mackerel" stripes to turn into a "blotched" pattern. The same gene mutation can give cheetahs a striped/spotted coat rather than spots only. There may be other functions and effects of the newly discovered gene that have yet to be discovered.
