Mine:
Not even a Cult fan, but I break the goddam sound barrier when this song comes on the radio.
You?

Also, anything by Prodigy -- they're not even good, just pulse-pounding. I'm the awkwardest human being ever, but even I have to start seat-dancing when "Smack My Bitch Up" plays.

(34,186 posts)Its physically impossible not to have a massive sympathetic nervous system reaction to her singing.
A little Jon Stewart cameo too.

(2,375 posts)But for me the notion of the one song that makes me drive too fast is absurd, since so many do!

LOVE THAT SONG! I not only break not only the speed limit, but the noise ordinances as well!
Ghost in the Machine
(14,912 posts)I was a speed demon back in my younger days, owned a lot of "muscle cars"and all. My first love was my 1969 Camaro 396 SS. I've owned Camaros from that '69 to 2 '73 SSes to an '87 IROC Z28.... Mustangs from a '65, '68, '69, '70, '72, '75 and a '76 (with V-6 yanked out and a 302 Boss put in) and a few Mopars from a '69 Roadrunner, '73 Duster, a '76 Plymouth Volare with the Roadrunner package and my current '97 Jeep Grand Cherokee with full time 4wd and a 5.2L V-8, and a '97 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with the same 5.2L V-8 (which is a 318 Magnum, and the same engine in every mopar I owned except for the '69 Roadrunner, which had a 383 in it.
I also have a 1994 Ford Escort, it gets about 30mpg, but I am fixing to give it to my younger sister because she needs it more than I do right now. I posted before about her plight: Illegally fired from Walmart, as she was hired under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Her lawyer worked FOR walmart for years, getting claims tossed out, until he had a change of heart for some reason. His practice now is solely on employees suing walmart, and he won't take a case unless he KNOWS he can win, as he works solely on contingency basis. He JUMPED on this case! Walmart has already made a paltry offer, which was quickly rejected, and they finally have a court date later this year. She also has one of those bladder mesh slings which has failed, and is basically ripping her insides out, but can't even get on Tenn-Care to help her. She was on her ex-husbands military insurance, but it ended the day her youngest child turned 18, as did the child support checks. One thing about our family though, we take care of each other as much as we can, when we can. However, if anyone knows of any agencies that can help her financially or medically, please PM me and let me know? I will check back later, I'm a "day sleeper" and I'm fighting to keep my eyes open as I type this
Peace,
Ghost

(2,073 posts)It's 1997, I'm driving down I-94 when this song came on the radio. After a couple of minutes I look at my speedometer. I'm going 95. In a Geo Metro.
