I was on a date the other day and my date bet me ice cream she could guess where I was from (because nobody is "from" DC). I won.

She guessed Georgia.

Alexandria VA is the furthest south or west I've ever lived, though I once had a job that required me to spend substantial amounts of time in Houston, TX. Hartford, Connecticut or Brooklyn, NYC would have been acceptable answers as where I've spent the largest respective portions of my youth and adulthood. Really though, I'm not from anywhere...I'm as close to a third-culture wanderer as you'll ever meet. I've probably spent a third of my adult life hopping on planes to places to bum around until I need to beg fare to come home.
