(58,856 posts)I must say, the movie was a decent interpretation of the 5 volume trilogy. Or was it six?

(66,647 posts)But I was disappointed in the film. Trillian is not supposed to be an American. And all the filmmakers did was essentially take a standard rom-com and wrap it in Hitch-hiker trappings.
With Trillian and Arthur Dent ending up together, it closes the door on any sequels, especially any shot at introducing Fenchurch.

(32,120 posts)I hadn't seen "Elf" at that point. I really liked her in that role. Haven't seen anything else of her work that I have disliked. Haven't watched much of "New Girl" lately, but it's got nothing to do with her.
