(8,492 posts)But, the scrub jays will sit outside the back door and scream when the birdfeeder is empty. And I do mean SCREAM. It irritates me so much that I actual cheer when the woodpeckers scare them off. GO WOODY!!!!

(21,020 posts)my fences are covered with honeysuckle, and other tantalizing flowers populate the yard so the hummingbirds don't ever get nasty if their feeders go empty.
Although I have caught them hovering at the kitchen window sometimes. But they're relatively polite about it.
Not like the White-tailed deer.
They show up at 4 PM each day, and if the feeder isn't overflowing with food, they will line up and stare at the house, directing all sorts of bad deer curses at us.
I swear, if the doors weren't locked at night, they would probably break in and stomp us to death as we slept.
