Oscar Pistorius, the Olympic runner, has been charged with murder in the death of a woman identified as his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

She was shot dead in Pistorius’ home in Pretoria, South Africa early Thursday.

He will formally be named the suspect when he makes his first court appearance on Friday.

"Oscar Pistorius, the double amputee runner from the 2012 Olympics, kills girlfriend"

Though I still don't see anything wrong with the term "fake legs" to describe prosthetic legs. "Prostheses" is literally defined by Webster as "PROSTHESIS: an artificial device...". I wasn't using the term "fake" to be insensitive or to add shock value, but as a correct and commonly used term.
