never taught either my girls or my boy how to fight. All that lame hippie bullshit I spouted about not fighting people. People like me should never have children.

So, in truth I learned from other people.

Besides, something like this, what this means to me is teaching discipline and trying to be healthy.
In some ways, I think it is a means of chanelling energy to something constructive.

People like my mother should never have children! Violent and personality disordered. No, a peace loving hippie has nothing to beat himself up for.

I tend to think discipline and civility is inculcated in most martial arts.

Even boxing tends to teach such a thing.

That's what is so great about it.
When someone looks to be enjoying something like that. It becomes so much fun.

It also becomes a leg up to try to keep someone active and doing physical activities when one grows older.

About the time I arrive at a nursing home, I'm sure she'll be on pay-per-view.

I would think that reflexes like that at such a young age reflects certain talent that isn't just learned.

Had the punching bag, too. A boy a few years older than I was taught me how to spar.

To her, it's a game.
Boxing is fun until you actually get coldcocked.
