I read a couple reviews warning that the card charges minute-for-minute for all calls in only six states and if you call the other 44 states, it bills three minutes for each minute used.
What do you know about this please?

(118,379 posts)so long distance calls inside a state may be billed higher than calls between states. my understanding is that calls between states are billed at one standard rate on the card, but calls inside a state may be billed higher

(12,008 posts)It sounds like a 70's Sean Connery sci-fi film. I'm theorizing that it involves a line inscribed across a planet which disintegrates those who would cross it.
I don't understand how that could help you make calls at all. Why not just use a phone?

I used to use phone cards when i used public phones and they charged 50 cents per call along with the regular charge along with the minutes plus it would purposely disconnect you to make you use up another 50 cents.

Or email the people that are far away and have them call your landline, then you won't get charged
