... I lived in Pennsylvania is that sometimes Amish highschool boys, in their
rebellious years, will chip in together and buy a car, paint it all black (including
the chrome bumpers -- they're not TOO rebellious and chrome doesn't fit the
philosophy of plain and simple) and hide it in the woods so that their parents
don't know they have one.
.
The very few Amish people I actually knew were extremely nice and laughed
a lot. A LOT!!!

... from pretty strict adherence to Amish rules and principles and sample the worldly pleasures
to make sure that they get it out of their systems and truly CHOOSE to follow the Amish way.
I think the parents/elders allow these indulgences for a year -- maybe several -- but then they
have to decide... leave the Amish community completely or come back and STAY... for the rest
of their lives.
.
It was very humorous to see these young Amish guys, dressed in their black pants and white
shirts and suspenders, drinking their (almost always) 7&7's and staring wide-eyed at all the
worldly pleasures exploding all around them.
.
I wondered once if there were any "worldly women" (or "worldly men" who strayed from their
usual worldly pleasures to sample an "Amish boy fetish".
.
Man, would THOSE guys be the center of attention when spinnin' yarns around a campfire after
a good day of barn-raisin'

I don't have a preference; beer, wine, the hard stuff, it's all good. Wine was what was in the house tonight...
Enjoy!

Mafia is right, shaking down local Amish business owners for insurance.
So nothing happens.
What is next for the Amish.
