(14,120 posts)Please, anyone that can help do so. For me, I have seen damage like that before. I lived through something very much like what they are showing. Just can't watch anymore, it hurts.

I saw the Who in the 80's with the guy that replaced Moon. Zak is much better. Turns out he's also Keith Moon's godson.

I saw my old neighborhood in New Dorp (Staten Island) destroyed.
For almost 40 years, my day-trips down the shore (yes, that's the way we say it) were from Key Port all the way to Cape May. I'll revisit my old haunts this summer to support whatever business are there.
The Inlet Cafe in the Atlantic Highlands was an inexpensive dining must. It is on the Neversink River. Many years ago you could get a bucket of steamers (long neck clams) for $3.00. Of course the price went up along with the end of unlimited refills. The bartender never mixed a bad drink. Over the years [img][/img] the menu changed to include dessert. It was a small inexpensively priced cozy place that totally rocked. I doubt it will be the same on my return but I'm going back. http://gigapan.com/galleries/10044/gigapans/118336
Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
