with some grey...
not too much grey, but enough...because any is too much.

I color it a light brown/dark blonde like it was when I was younger

besides...I don't think I could wear my hair a funny color at work.

I just want to be blonde (well, NOT grey, really)

I'm actually going silver more quickly, especially my beard. It's nothing to be ashamed of. It's simply a sign of seniority, or as my late grandfather said at his birthday party, "Here I am in the height of my senility" - he then proceeded to cut the coconut cake with an electric meat carver knife (that he'd just received as a gift) sending coconut flakes EVERYWHERE. Grandma was not amused.

I was a kid at the time. I thought it was HILARIOUS! Grandma still wasn't amused.

I have friends with the most gorgeous silver/white hair. I knew a lady whose white hair was past her waist. She wore it in a braid and it was beautiful.

My hair, unfortunately, isn't going silver as quickly as I would like. It's light ash brown with maybe 10% silver and looks very pretty (I don't have to buy the frosting kits anymore...did that for years) but I'm looking forward to a full head of silver hair.

so I know I have something to look forward to....

but I am way too young for that and have been going grey
before it was even fair...

so now I have to color it to look as young as I look

temporary colors too.

Like "Splat". Maybe you could try one during your next week long vacation.

I have medium ash brown hair and the colors are only extremely obvious in the sunlight. A week later they're gone. I don't use the included bleach to lighten. Just put it on my natural hair.

Freaks out the grandkids.
