Trunk or Treat

I dont know if any of you are familiar with this event, but several churches around here have a "trunk or treat" where people put candy in their trunks and park around the church so the kids can walk around and collect candy in lieu of trick or treating.

When I see "Trunk or Treat" I envision a dirty guy with a 92 Ford Crown Vic telling a kid to reach all the way back for his treat then SLAM closing the trunk on him and driving to a remote cabin outside of town where they cant hear you scream.

The first time I heard of it I thought just about the same thing. The church across the street from me does it and they get quite a few kids.

They need a zombie lurking in an open car trunk that grabs the kids when they reach for the candy. That'll teach 'em.

And this year it's Jeez-night, Wednesday, or as I call it "Mid-week indoctrination night".

I live in a very conservative area and make a big point of decorating with orange and purple lights and passing out good candy so kids can trick or treat. I live on a two lane blacktop which is the main street thru a little town.

I have a night class to go to on Wed at a local junior college so I can't participate, but one of my neighbors will help Hubby hold down the fort. For this year we got a fog machine!
We do not want to scare the kids, just have fun.
