OK, I just looked up the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T. pepper.

I don't think I want to eat something that you have to wear hazmat gear to cook.

And I was scared of the ghost chili, hich is why I went for the powder instead of the actual pepper.


It was awesome. Very sharp, intense tingling heat that crept up from behind and attacked my throat. The powder had very little taste but I hear that the actual pepper tastes like a bell pepper before it makes your face melt off.



Btw, congrats on your retirement.

An Ancho or Anaheim make me flee in terror unless I have plenty of something else to eat with them to mitigate the heat.

And when you said "powdered ghost chilis" my very first impression was of whole chilis covered in powdered sugar and I thought: hmmm, that sounds interesting...
