Okay, I have a question about comedy clubs in dictatorships

What if the comedian isn't allowed to be funny, but you are required to laugh anyway?

It was approved before the show, but they had good comedians in Soviet Union.

In case you are wondering why Yakov Smirnoff was allowed to emigrate...like I said, they had good comedians in Soviet Union.
