It's funny how cats will have a preference for one human over another.

I think the wife in this case scared him, that big bumping cast on her leg. He might warm up to her over time now that the damned thing;s finally off. It will help if she's the one who feeds him.

Still, his preference is plain and will probably always be there. It's how some cats work.

that pet birds are even more loyal to one person........They are frightening if you try to get near them, or near the person they have attached to.........The larger parrots are the worst.........

My cats were all total sluts, they'd love anybody they thought was good for a lap or a scritch.

At one time we had my male Bombay cat and his female Tabby cat.

Then the dynamics of the house changed and all the kids moved out leaving us to be empty nesters.

My Bombay decided he was daddy's boy. His cat decided that I was her girl and vice versa. The cats switched up their favorite human caretakers after all the kids left the house. The cats made this choice. We accepted this change and made it work.

Both of our beloved feline companions have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and they both rest peacefully on separate end tables in the living room.
