OMG. Relative of hubby just 'liked' The Tea Party on fb.

Hubby really struggles with interaction with these right wing relatives of his in Georgia.
But what makes this doubly difficult, is that this relative (wife of his nephew) has just
been diagnosed with kidney cancer. Hubby busted his butt last week--e-mailing/phone
calls with the nephew (hubby is an MD) trying to help him sort through their options
and how to connect with excellent oncology docs. I suggested they consult with my
brother (MD/PhD) who works for Big Pharma company coordinating clinical trials on
their oncology drugs to get the names of who is good in nephew's community (Atlanta).
A LOT of time went into this.

And what do I just see? The woman who has the kidney cancer 'liking' The Tea Party.
My guess is she has ZERO appreciation for how much cancer research has been supported
by government funding. Research that may extend her life--if not cure her cancer.
