ice cube tray/makers. She'd take them out one by one, use the ice, and leave the empty trays on the sink. Made me crazy every time I visited. I'm someone who uses a LOT of ice. Me, I buy bags of ice and consider it money well spent.

As soon as an entire tray is finished, crack the ice into a bowl. Keep the bowl in the freezer and refill the tray. Repeat until bowl is filled.

Problem solved.
