OP
You can't appreciate an individual performance without making it about the team?

Unlike the M's, who will spend another October on the golf course.

My son has idolized him since he was a toddler.

instead of languishing for all of his career playing with kids and has-beens.
He is still a great player and your son should idolize him as well as you!

(50,557 posts)13. The weird thing about trading Ichiro...
is it seemed to improve BOTH teams. The Yankees got Ichiro, and the Mariners sucked far less than before.
Now understand, the Mariners have not stopped sucking--I think it's a city ordinance in Seattle that all their pro sports teams will suck or else--but they're not as bad as they once were.

(50,557 posts)15. Well gee dude, that kinda goes without saying...
The winners of the Little League World Series could beat the Mets five games out of seven.
