Ok, it is Honey Boo Boo night on TLC channel.

1. Wth is "honey booboo"?

I keep hearing people mention it but have no idea what they're talking about.

2. We have finally found a name for the era we've just lived through.

We were "redneckinized" by the honey boo boo's on the right.

3. That is a good question.

Honey Boo Boo is a reality show with a southern family.

The youngest daughter is Honey Boo Boo.

She has a 15 year old sister that is having a baby.

The mother in the show also had her first baby at 15..

The show is very southern, and very real.

I can relate, my Father's brother's family was like this family.

4. My brother married someone like that.

He moved next door to his in-laws in Alabama, ended up raising two nieces along with his own two children. Sad situation all around. It doesn't get better from generation to generation. Just as his oldest is getting ready for college, another one of his wife's relatives, who was a jailbird, had to give up her son and they adopted him. He's probably five or six now. His wife is not working now, because she stays home to raise the boy.

But what really is terrible is all that fried southern food. His teen son has love handles that would embarrass any kid and my brother started suffering strokes at the age of 50.

To top it off, the niece he raised is back, pregnant and with a boyfriend.

It is so opposite from the way he was raised, but, I understand why he got caught up in it. He has a heart of gold and can't say no. I'm afraid he's going to die young.

5. My Uncle married at 18 to a younger bride.

They had several kids, the girls married very young.

I don't know how two brothers could be so different.

6. It's a spinoff of "Toddlers and Tiaras"

"TnT" is the TLC reality show that covers life on the kiddie pageant circuit. This is the place where we learn that spray tanning is essential to winning kiddie pageants so at least one of the pageant moms takes her daughter to a car painter.

Honey Boo Boo is this obnoxious little fat kid whose family resembles a house full of Cartmans. I don't know if they want you to respect their authority, or if it's their pot pie.
