There are some things about DU4 I like, but so far I prefer DU3 overall. I find it easier to read and navigate.

I may have to use dark mode with DU4. The Default mode with the white background started bothering my eyes during the time I was testing it early this afternoon.

I’m old, so I don’t like change anyway. But besides that, I think it’s very ugly and cumbersome. Even the fonts are ugly. I switched back for as long as I can.

Posting from DU4 now, trying to get used to it. There are some added things that I do like, like being able to rec replies. The navigation is a bit strange. Paradigm shift, I guess. And it's not as elegant looking... but that's likely a matter of opinion.

I find it to be easier on the eyes without the blocks of color, and will probably keep the retro option when the switch occurs.

17. DU3 and DU4 use the same databases, just different interfaces.

That's why we end up in the same place regardless of our choice of interface.

I like the new look but I haven't tried it in mobile mode yet. We can rec posts! We can subscribe to people! Very cool.

So far with limited success. I really don't like the look of it or the navigation at all. Might just take some getting used to.

One thing I wish they hadn't changed is putting my posts (replies) under "My Stuff." It's an extra click. I liked it as a tab like it was before.

OTOH, I do like the added feature of being able to rec replies.
