Graduation gift

I'm blessed with excellent next-door neighbors, who have been amazingly generous with things like going along as responsible adults when I've had to go for medical procedures -- things like that.

Their oldest son is graduating high school this year, headed off to college in the fall. The best thing I've been able to think of as a gift is a money card. (He's passionate about baseball and paintball, but neither of those gives me any ideas...)

My question is: does anyone have an idea what sort of amount is suitable here? I'm thinking $100. Is that too little? Too much?

I'll just say no matter what you give him, it would mean a lot to acknowledge those lost years of high school during the covid lockdowns.
Those were special developmental years, lost - teenage brains aged 4 years (not matured - aged - as in, lost plasticity/potential). We've whitewashed over their sacrifice but now you have a chance to show someone you care about it.
