young adults so we could have parties with our friends. They were so generous. The moon would beat a bath across the lake right to our dock at night and the stars in rural Quebec were glorious.

3. Stunning.

I can almost smell the faint acidic and sweet scent of wood smoke on the air mixed with the headiness of the earthy moss and crisp, clean green scent from the ferns.

I want to be on that lake in a canoe drifting along watching the birds doing their daily lives and watching for other wildlife making cameo appearances.

I'm an outdoors person, but when you add peaceful water and wildlife it's as close to heaven as I've ever known.

the loons are back on the lake across from me... they were loud and in force yesterday when I was out working in my yard
