Halfway through. Brutal but beautiful, and not the typical writing and acting and plot. Not a Costner fan, but he's awesome in it.

(24,394 posts)I have really enjoyed it. There's plenty of interviews with the actors and others involved in the show on YouTube.

(8,059 posts)the scenery/cinematography and the soundtrack. But a lot of it is implausible, soap-opera-ish, and a lot of cliches. I think the best comparison is to Downton Abbey, with the sibling intrigue, fighting to keep the estate intact, servants' (ranch-hands') substories. But not as well done as Downton Abbey, and the characters are not as likable.
