Holding onto the antenna to see if the TV reception got better?

Buying all kinds of gadgets to improve your signal (which most of them didn't)?

Having to yell out the window for your Dad to stop rotating the roof antenna when the signal was best?

You might get a couple of extra stations (very faintly) if the the weather/wind was right. I think this usually happened at night (or was that the radio?).

Cranking through the UHF dial for all of the nonaffiliated TV stations?

Often times weird local TV programs, especially on the UHF stations?

The channel opening or closing with the Star Spangled Banner when they signed off at night or signed on in the morning?

That color signal panel coming on at station sign off then fading into static/noise as the station went off until morning?
