Does anyone lose their appetite over the holidays?

Most years, I just lose interest in food during this time of year. I cook and bake, but usually don't even sample the results. I usually lose about 10 lbs by New Year's. After the holidays are over, I'll get my appetite and the weight back.

Not just because I make loads of goodies, but because of the concentrated socializing involving food.

Then I take a long (very cold windy snowy) walk with the pup and come back for the full-fat hot chocolate..

Of course the red win that evening sorts it out...LOL

It’s a struggle to avoid over indulging this time of year. I have to convince myself that something else good awaits and that if I pass by a table loaded with snacks, I will surely not die from starvation before finding a better source of sustenance.

All the treats, drinks, extravagance. I love it all! I must admit I’m glad it’s not 12 months a year.

My chronic autoimmune crap has moved into my guts and it's been a rough couple months. My roommate has IBS as well so we're both having a hard time thinking of anything to make.

It might end up being rice and chicken nuggets I love stuffing and gravy and cranberry though! dammitt!

(might be psychological too, mom died in May and this is the first Holidays without her ...)
