When I was a kid, besides being a picky eater I hated ginger ale.
Forward about 20 yrs after eating Chinese take out, and more authentic Chinese food, plus cooking authenticity as well - it dawned on me some that maybe I'd like ginger ale now.
And I did/do. 👍

You need a heavy bottom pot (I have an old Calphalon one) with a lid.

3 Tbls. good olive oil
1/2 cup fresh popcorn kernels
Kosher salt

That's all you need! Put the oil in the pot and heat it up with 3-4 kernels of popcorn and the lid on (I leave a small gap so the steam can escape). When those few kernels begin to pop, add the rest of them, shake the pot gently to distribute them evenly on the bottom and put on the lid (ajar). It should begin to pop very soon and quickly.

Pour it out, add salt, and stir. You can pour on melted butter, but I love the flavor of the oil.

Tip with the popcorn kernels. You should put a piece of plastic wrap around the top of the jar and then screw down the lid. It keeps the popcorn from drying out - which means it won't pop, just burn.

What kind of dip?

My mom used to make this dip with 🤔 waterchestnuts, spinach, sour cream, onions plus ?? Sort of complex, and soooo good!

Of course there's onion dip. 😋

My air fryer gets the onion rings nice and crispy and I'll have some horseradish sauce on the side to dip them in. I'm really picky about my Bloody Marys. They have to be just right, so I'm careful when I make them. I only have enough vodka for two or three of them, so that will make me just right for bedtime after the hearing.

Never had it probably wouldn't have liked it.
Light social drinker. Loved the little buzz.

Now I can only have a half inch of anything once in a while. Like the taste of white wines, rosés, Bourbon, Kahlua.

Enjoy! 🍹

Crown Royal and ginger ale. California roll and some smoked gouda on Late July sweet potato chips, lightly heated, just enough to melt the cheese 🧀.

29. Frozen vanilla yogurt with blueberry topping.

I put a 5 oz. container of vanilla yogurt in the freezer earlier. Then put some fresh blueberries into a pan with a little water and a few pinches of sugar. Heated the blueberries until they softened enough to mash and the juice thickened slightly. Poured the cooled blueberry syrup onto the yogurt.

Not as creamy as store-bought frozen yogurt. More like sherbet texture, but delicious.

Had planned on it as dessert after dinner, but did not eat it until the hearings were on.
