(54,770 posts)game last year. First, the little fella yelled from 2nd base when we go there, Hey grandma and Hoyt.
Then, the 2 little 6-year old girls on his team were a scream. One was serious. The other was like the kid in the video, and obviously wasnt concerned whether she got on base or not. Told my lady friend, shes perfect for her grandson.
Most of the kids stood around digging holes in the field. Mighty fine.

(12,904 posts)Thats what my mother in law used to tell a mom whose little boy would find, and bring to his mom, a feather during every game.
Little guy would come running in from the outfield to bring his mom the feather, no matter if the inning was over or not.

(14,143 posts)and you'd get some all-day games.
Apropos of nothing... I went to an Expos/Cubs game at Wrigley when I was a lad. The previous day's game had been suspended in the middle of the ninth inning on account of darkness (can't recall whether there was a rain delay, or what) and was to be completed before the regularly scheduled game. The Cubs tied it and they played nine extra innings. Then another game. I loved it.
