Here's where these candy makers hurt themselves. Guess what? We buy no more candy. It's not worth it. So, from usually $10-$20 bucks worth of candies a month to zero! A fine investment, eh, on the part of these candy manufacturers?
We need to all start combating these manufacturers and retailers who short-change us on our portion sizes (and raise the prices while at it too). Inflation has only gone up so much, not so much so to justify the price increases and the reduction in candy sizes.
When is enough money, enough?

(86,832 posts)I made up a rule for myself regarding candy. I had just spent a large amount of money on dental bills so I decided I couldn't have candy anymore. It's worked for the most part. Included in the rule was that if I did break the rule, it had to be something really special and handmade, no corporate candy!
I can have cake, pie and ice cream when I want sweets, other than that, fruit.
I have never been well off financially so paying into this kind of rip-off is just not in my budget.
