(15,398 posts)My sister is 16 years older than me. Her and her boyfriends that she had could never understand my love of video games when they were over my house. They all said it was useless. My 1930's born parents agreed. Luckily for me, my mom was cool. She knew I loved them, and while it wasn't her thing, she bought me many. Started with an Atari 2600.

(46,327 posts)The one I posted, "Spyro: Reignited" is a revamped version of the original Spyro games.
Next Spring Lego is putting out a "Star Wars" Lego game that will have the whole saga in it, from prequels to the last Star Wars movie.

(15,398 posts)I enjoyed the Wii era a lot in the mid 2000's, but it seems that it was hated on. Last week, it had its 15 year anniversary.

(46,327 posts)I have a few older sets as well, Gamecube, PS2, and XBox 360.
Games have really improved, some for the better.
And I love the Lego videogames.

(16,949 posts)We were in our 20s and thought it was amazing. We got into some other video games when our kids got older, but by the time Mario Brothers came out, we were done.

(442 posts)My dad owned an ad agency and his client gave him Pong before it was publicly released. His client wasn't Atari, but somehow involved with Atari. Some odd benefits to the ad world...
I remember my dad yelling that we couldn't let it sit too long or it would "burn" the TV screen. Which it did. Oops.
49 years later...still a gamer and annoyed that I can't afford a PS5. Been sharing that addiction with my soon to be 39 year old son for...well...about 35 years?
