Non-automated cruise control is only engaging with speed not steering.

Either the author is trying to scare his reading public, or he doesn't know that engaging only cruise control -- as on any other vehicle with that capability -- means the car will maintain a constant speed but won't actively steer the vehicle.

I'd classify this report as FUD.
