That's actually the one I would watch it it were televised. My phone must know I'm interested. Recaps keep popping up out of nowhere.
I mean basically it sounds like the financial scam of the century. A 20 year old drops out of college and somehow entrances wealthy gullible investors to spend multi millions of dollars with basically no proof of a technology that worked. Have to give her credit: That's some chutzpa!
The feds are resting their case after presenting a long parade of wealthy and or powerful people who were happy to hand over somebody's money in this scam.
Interesting to see if she will testify. That I would like to watch.
Only know what I read but it sounds like a strong case for the feds.

I think the case against her is strong but its questionable whether this jury will vote to convict her based on her age and appearance.
on edit: she's a savvy image person. Maybe, like Bang Bang, MTG and Gaetz, she's just an actor.
If so, this "play the part" thing is becoming a phenomenon in America.

(7,611 posts)the day that first article appeared. Imagine just somehow stumbling across the story and really pursuing it. My admiration for the news side of the WSJ (not the editorial side) did increase. I should read the book. I bet it's interesting. Thanks.
I can't help but think that the woman's looks had something to do with it all. Getting those foolish often boys to part with their money. Been there, done that (before I was married). Fortunately nothing like that kind of scale.
