Dan Rather interviewed Geddy Lee of the band Rush in 2017.

An interesting and fun interview.

1. The Big Interview is a really good show.

I don’t catch it enough.

2. I've seen this several times now, a great interview.

I rewatched it recently, and it's really hard to watch his comments about Rush playing together and about Neil. We know now that he knew Neil was ill and he was deliberately avoiding saying anything, but he sounds so sad.

3. Geddy's demeanor changes when he talks about the future.

He knew there was no future, at that point.

RIP Neil Peart.

4. That was a great interview. I had no idea how much he and Sean Penn look alike.

Especially when he looks over his glasses.

I knew someone who toured with the group and Geddy loved throwing baseballs. He’d basically go through pitching innings like an actual game.

5. If you have Paramount Plus

Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters has a 6 part series called "From Cradle to Stage" where he and his mother interview other musicians and their moms. One episode is an interview of Geddy and his 90 year old mom. It's a treat. If you don't have Paramount +, sign up for a free trial just to watch the series.
