1. "Gone With The Wind", book and movie.

The movie may have been a fine technical accomplishment in the history of cinema. But the story is just Confederate "Lost Cause" apologetics for slavery. It's "Birth Of A Nation" with sound and Technicolor.

And "Forrest Gump." I generally like Tom Hanks, but I had trouble sitting through that one. And when I heard people saying how great it was, I thought they must be joking.
