(22,759 posts)wish I could afford an entire cook top, but alas..... any stainless steel will do... I have a set of Cuisinart pots and a really nice very large Denmark Cookware pot (I used it to make and deliver food to the Occupy folks in DC a few years back- I was working there at the time) that work great on the hotplate... good luck!

(43,049 posts)a refrigerator magnet should work, to test any pots you see in Target or any other place you shop that has cookware.

(7,575 posts)I had to give away my Cuisinart pans when I got my induction top. Enameled steel, iron, All-Clad work great. Some brands have a layer of aluminum with the steel and will not work.
I love my cooktop..

(102,448 posts)I found a great deal on a small 2 liter Bergner Casserole with lid at a Home Goods store (overstock, I guess because this cookware is typically REALLY expensive) and that is the primary pan I use on the induction burner. Fortunately, you can do quite a lot in it, though I'd probably like to have a slightly bigger one.
