wish I could afford an entire cook top, but alas..... any stainless steel will do... I have a set of Cuisinart pots and a really nice very large Denmark Cookware pot (I used it to make and deliver food to the Occupy folks in DC a few years back- I was working there at the time) that work great on the hotplate... good luck!

a refrigerator magnet should work, to test any pots you see in Target or any other place you shop that has cookware.

I had to give away my Cuisinart pans when I got my induction top. Enameled steel, iron, All-Clad work great. Some brands have a layer of aluminum with the steel and will not work.

I love my cooktop..

I found a great deal on a small 2 liter Bergner Casserole with lid at a Home Goods store (overstock, I guess because this cookware is typically REALLY expensive) and that is the primary pan I use on the induction burner. Fortunately, you can do quite a lot in it, though I'd probably like to have a slightly bigger one.
