Anderson COOPER on Jeopardy! pauses too long before validating correct answers!1

Hanging suspense!1 Plus sometimes adds a further detail to contestants' answers - from the cards or does he really know?!1

Otherwise, he's as comfortable as though born to it, like everything else!1 Although I harbor a tiny grudge over how he took over from Aaron BROWN on CNN.

I agree with you about his pauses and generally find his way of indicating they're right... soothsayer Apr 2021 #2

I think he has to wait for a verdict from a hidden panel of judges. JustABozoOnThisBus Apr 2021 #7

They debate pronunciation, missing or extra syllables, whether the question is plural or singular. I don't think the host is actually deciding correctness in some cases.

Finally, a green (or red) light comes on and he can pronounce the verdict. Along with extra details, like a first and middle name of the person.

It seems a little stiff, like, why are you keeping the contestant hanging?
