My wife and I spent three weeks in three cottages in western Ireland.

I'd cheerfully live out my life in Connemara or Donegal.

I was only there for 23 hours and I didn't get to go anywhere (museums, zoo, etc.), but I did walk around and took pics and I went to the pubs.

Descendent of the Mayo County Quigleys. (only freakin' green smilie I could find other than this one which didn't seem appropriate)

"May your troubles be less, and your blessings be more. And nothing but happiness come through your door. To all the days here and after, may they be filled with fond memories, happiness and laughter." "May the best day of your past be the worst day of your future."

Both times it was like that walrus...

Who amongst us hasn’t woken up confused in Ireland after passing out under dubious circumstances?

before the first plane hit the twin towers. We saw the second plane hit in a bar where were lunching with our girl and her boyfriend. We were there for 10 days and it was surreal. Incredible mixture of sadness, disbelief, the natural beauty of Ireland, and warm and wonderful people. Unforgettable. We particularly loved our days in Dingle. The Guinness. The Fish and Chips...and sticky toffee pudding!
